Marianne Sproncken is geboren in Limburg, Nederland. Vanuit haar interesse in interactie met mensen heeft ze Communicatie gestudeerd. In 2002 besloot ze haar hart te volgen en begon ze met schilderen.
Haar oog valt op mensen, situaties, landschappen die haar raken. Deze wil ze vastleggen en delen met anderen om de schoonheid van wat haar geraakt heeft te laten zien. Tijdens reizen fotografeert zij eindeloos. Overal waar ze komt zuigt ze indrukken op die later terugkomen in haar werk. Ze werkt in verschillende stijlen die je terugvindt in haar portretten, naakten, stillevens in olieverf, maar ook abstract werk dat uit vele lagen is opgebouwd. De laatste jaren maakt zij met behulp van eierschalen een mozaïek op hout, waarbij de natuurlijke kleur van de eierschalen gebruikt wordt om een gezicht of persoon uit te beelden. Dit is een zeer arbeidsintensief werk met een verrassend resultaat.
Marianne Sproncken was born in the south of Limburg (The Netherlands).
Because of her interest in interacting with people, she studied Communications. In 2002 she decided to follow her heart and started painting.
She looks at the world around her, people, situations, landscapes, and is sometimes touched by what she sees.
She wants to capture this special moment in a painting to share it with others to show the beauty of what touched her. During her travels she takes endless photographs. Everywhere she goes, she absorbs impressions that later result in a painting. She works in various styles which you can find in her portraits, nudes, still life in oil, but also abstract work that consists of many layers. Recently she has been using eggshells to create a mosaic on wood, using the natural color of the eggshell to depict a face or a person. This is an extremely labor-intensive process with a surprising result.
